Circus success!

She looks adorable! I'm glad she had a good time!Awesome!!!

She looks like she had a great time. And her expression is great.  She was really taking it all in.

She is growing in leaps and bounds

We did the "Go for a walk" at restaurants, church..oldest dd band concerts for years! ...or I should state "I" did the tour around the restaurants, church, band...ect...I am so glad she grew out of those noise/crowd issues..it seems they went away overnight:)

That's great!  (She's SO CUTE BTW!)  Crowds and noise are always concerns for us.

We've been to a couple of Ballgames this past week and weren't so lucky.  Jacob cried and screamed the whole time, except when he was on the Ferris Wheel and Merry-Go-Round.  (Yes, you read that right.  Comerica Park in Detroit is cool that way.)  Michael wanted to go back (to see another game) and just by chance we had already planned to, and although he liked it, he didn't really want to watch much of the game (not too surprising - he's only 6) or even stay in the seats.  1 inning, then a snack, then "Go for a walk."  Which means do laps around the stadium until about the fifth (8:30~9:00 PM) and then go home!

But what the heck.  He had fun, and the tickets were free both times!

She wouldnt of gotten through the front doors at 4 years old.  We had to stop going to church, restaurants and any place with more than 5 people...her sister was in band and we had to take turns seeing her concerts because Sarah would just freak out. Bowling alleys were a nightmare too...but she handled the mall fine? Today she is really quiet so I am thinking it took alot out of her yesterday:)

Malls were always okay for my kids, too.  Maybe it's because they can see several "escape routes".  The worst for my oldest son was crowded indoor situations in an enclosed room -- I think he felt trapped in a way he didn't feel in a mall.

Am soo glad she had a great experience!   She looks so cute!

We took Sarah to the Ringling bro. circus yesterday for the first time and she loved it! We were a few rows up from the center ring~so I was worried she would not be able to handle the noise, smells..crowds..but she did absolutely perfect! I never would of imagined this for her years ago..she has come a long way!

Here are some highlights!

That's my dh next to her looking up:)

Wow!  It's clear from the pictures that she had a great time.  We took my older son to the circus at age 4.  He had been looking forward to it, but he actually went LIMP from overstimulation even before it started.  After a couple acts, I realized he wasn't going to get easier for him so we left.

The experience was one of our red flags when we finally got him in for evaluation by the school district.
