Going back to college

Back to Autism Information >> Next Topic

Hello! This is different because i'm actually posting about me instead of Mason. Well I just started a new job in last month. I really enjoy it. I work in a vision center in wal-mart. For the first time in my life i'm in a job were there is a need. I use to work in jewelery and as we know that really isn't a need. Lol. Well i'm thinking about going back to school to get my liensce for opt.

I'm kinda nervous ..and i guess i feel selfish in a way. I don't want to start untill next winter. That way right now i can concentrate on mason and the possible theapy that he might need. But once i graduate in two years ..i can make double an hour then what i'm making now.

Well Good night everyone

alicia ..,mom of mason (3) no dx yet, hannah (2), and sarah beth (1)

Good for you!  It's great that you found a fulfilling job, and want to build on that experience by going back to school.  Good luck!  Alicia, I think going back to school is great, not selfish at all. You need to
have a fullfilling job, and something that you enjoy doing while providing
better for Mason and that is a very nice goal.
If we are not happy as individuals we can't be happy parents to our little
ones.
Good luck!
