Detox foot pads?

Anyone get this email?

http://www.fightingtoxins.com/order.html I saw the same thing actually on the TV, like some ancheint japanese thing to eliminate toxins from the body like a 'tree'.

hmmm... I am sceptical, I had a friend who wanted to try it all the kids in my age are all into japanese culture, I wont spend the money, if it worked I would, but....The Drs. websites sounds a little snake oily to me. He mentions losing his home in the San Diego fire.
Nonetheless, I hear a lot about being able to absorb omega's through the feet and I met a shaman who said to rub Vicks in the bottom of your feet when you have a cold.

I saw that on tv on a INFO commercial..hmmmm??? ....along with that foot soak thing that does the same thing by using electrical ions or something to draw out toxins from our body and turns the water from clear to a mucky yucky black guckidy gook! ....Very very interesting but waiting for more info and conclusive results first:)

**If it's true it would be nice to just put on pads to pull out all the muck in our system without side effects or soak our feet in water with electrodes....but I am way too paranoid to believe this really happens for some reason. I will wait and see patiently:)

I heard this was a scam
basically any kind of mositure ( like sweat from feet overnight) will turn the
pads dark and make you think that the detoxifying is happening
Good placebo effect though [QUOTE=KajoliT] I heard this was a scam

ya when I saw the comercial that was the first thing I thought as far as how they worked, seemed a little too good to be true. This website discusses what one guy found when he disected them.. basically they just react to moisture in your foot and they add stuff to make it look brown..

We have been using them 4 months and I will do a hair test to see the type of shift before I make any comments. I  too am skeptical but at the same time, if you rub garlic on the sole of your foot, you taste it in your mouth a wee while longer so I am learning to accept that maybe there is something in it.

We add coriander drops to the footsies and a metal Dtox solution. They are certainly getting less sticky over the time. i have been taking photos once a week and keeping them for comparison. It is important to use tourmaline. My doctor has come back from  a pfeiffer conference and she is supporting me using them.

I use Michael Sichels approach (he has a website and a protocol that includes gluten, casein, chocolate free) and when I questioned trying them for a while before using the 'big guns' of chelation, he got offended and pointed me towards lots of research showing the positive effects of footsies. His book does have some anecdotal endorsements from parents plus hair test results over time

So in another month, I will know if there has been any change. Of course, it is the million dollar question as to whether there  will be increases due to excretion in hair or if we are past that and there are decreases in arsenic, aluminium, lead, mercury.

That is interesting the detox pads also contain wood vinegar.  I am definitely interested in hearing your results Rachel. Please keep us updated. Although it seems too easy, I can also see how it could be beneficial since there are topical chelators.
