I received the outline for the Pennsylvania National Autism Conference recently and saw that Temple Grandin and her mother Eustacia Cutler will be there as speakers. This is a week long conference scheduled for the last week of July-first of August. My husband and I have attended this conference for the last three years. It is full of so much information, and each year the topics change. The conference has classes in the morning and afternoon Monday through Friday, with so much info about all aspects of austim! I have heard Temple speak before in Cleveland at a conference there. I was also able to meet her afterward. She is an amazing person, with so much insight to help us with our children. I heard Eustacia Cutler speak last year at the National Austism Conference in PA. She is such an incredible to person to hear speak about being a parent of a child with autism. She is very blunt and honest about it not being a bed of roses, but also very encouraging as well. The conference had set up microphones for folks to ask Eustacia questions throughout the speech. But when they paused for questions, no one wanted to ask anything--someone called out "Tell us more!" So if you ever have the chance to hear Eustacia, please do. You'll be glad you did. Just check out the web site of the Pennsylvania National Autism Conference. Revy I heard Temple Grandin speak last year at the MN Autism Conf. She is amazing. I would be very interested in what Eustacia has to say.cant wait to see them both... I just received the brochure and just registered. It is a great conference but I wish they offered more classes geared towards the parents/family. They offer amazing classes for the professionals ( and they should)... Just wish they had more for us... with some info on diet and supplements,,, if you can I would DEFINITELY try to go ,,, It is really inexpensive |
