diapers vs. pullups
We switched Payne to pullups at night at that stage and underwear during the day.
Same here.

I say make the move to underwear during the day--I was so happy when we did that. It sounds like he is ready.I'd go for GoodNights, just for the absorbency. Those pullups don't often do the job at night. It might be good if he could learn to deal with his own pullups. My 3-year-old is quite capable of taking hers off and putting it in the diaper pail. I think of it as one more step towards independence. We were forced to switch because she outgrew size 6 diapers.Alex is currently about 43 IBS and we tried pullups, with no luck. He currently wears Huggies Overnights and SIZE 6 DIAPERS. How is your childs cycle does he soaked thru his current diaper. Our son has a bladder/bowel issue causing him to have limited function. If you child isn't soaking the diaper and ready for independance but not ready for potty training switch to pullups or try size 7 huggies!

When we switched to underwear both of my sons trained faster, they hated the wet pants,Try it on a weekend when you can stay home most of the time,we use pull ups at night still ,Good Luck

Keep us posted.

kane wears pull ups during the day and nappys at night (he isnt toilet trained) but the pull ups allow him to feel wet and he can manage to pull them up and down himself

The Huggies pull ups have the Cool Alert version that makes them feel the wetness.  We use these during the day, and GoodNites at night.  Cole has sleep disturbances, so although we want him to notice the wetness, NOT at night!

Also, those Huggies ones have sides on them that are velcroed, so if your child does have a muddy pullup on, its really easy to remove it just like one would a diaper.  Helps keep the mud in the pullup and not on YOU!

My son Zachary (Z) is 4.6 and is mostly potty trained.  He will go on the potty (both 1 and 2) and does #2 almost exclusively on the potty.  #1 is a little tougher.  He wears diapers.  Should we switch him to pullups or even training pants?  I am getting tired of the diapers.  How will we know that he is ready? We switched Payne to pullups at night at that stage and underwear during the day.
