She got included to play with the girls:)

Sarah has been really having a hard time playing with kids this year...mainly because she hates pretend games, chasinging after kids~tag games...but this week the girls in her class got into doing hand-clap singing games and asked her to join...since Sarah is a expert at memorizing everything she picked up the songs and hand movements/gestures really fast.

I was thrilled to hear her tell me about it. They have like 6 songs so far and make a huge circle to do them:) I am so happy she is able to be able to do something with her peers without feeling overwhelmed & be included and able to enjoy it at the same time~This is the first time for her:)

I so hope she makes some friends out of this!

good for her..I know how hard it is for our children to get and have friends, let alone be included! So very good for her, and I know if I were you I would be feeling so happy right now....I am so happy for Sarah! Great job Sarah for being there and participating! I
still say she is the cutest girl in her class!   that's so awesome! those games will be a staple.. i promise! aww, i miss them I wish Sarah many many new friends from this. I remember how upset you
were just a few days ago when the playdate she had did not work out. This
is such a great "update".
Your Sarah is such an inspiration to me and it seems that a little setback a
few days ago did not halt any of her progress on social skills
Way to go!OMG thats HUGE!!!!!! WTG!!!!!!thats awsome, I can definatly relate at her age, and I definatly beleive its harder for girls at that age to assimulate with other girls doing stuff like this then boys. Now shes in and has a real opertunity at expanding her circle of friends.    Bravo Sarah!!!!That is so awesome! Way to go Sarah!

That's awesome Shelly!!  How great for Sarah to be included!

Since she loves music and is great at memorizing movements, have you thought about a dance class.  Maybe something upbeat like line dancing since you live in Texas?

That is awesome!  As a mom of a child with pdd-nos, him making friends was my biggest worry.  He is making progress though.  slow and steady.

That is the BEST! We were so fortunate that we moved here on the same day as the twin boys down the street and they have been best friends ever since! I about cried when I realized that the friendship was actually going to last. It has transferred over to school and my ds has at least a few close friends and plays fairly well (not always appropriately) with the other kids in his class. I bet this will start her on her way - hurray for Sarah!

How Great!!  That's wonderful!

Fantastic!
