Supplements causing change in urine smell

Maybe.  If your child had yeast overgrowth, he or she could be going through some yeast die off from the acidophilis.  I've recently started my 4 year old on Nordic Naturals strawberry fish oil and acidopholis.

In the past week, I've noticed that his pee has started smelling different - like a sweet burnt smell. It's not unpleasant, but it's unusual.

Could these be related?

My sons urine is consistently different smelling and very bright yellow. He is on many supplements so I figure that it must be relatively 'normal'.

Yes, I mentioned it. It is interesting because one of our Dr's said if it is bright yellow, his body is really not utilizing all these vitamin's. It is expensive pee!
I increased his water intake and it helps with the smell.
I take a multivitamin wholefood liquid nutrition and mine is bright yellow almost a neon and smells. It's natural. It does it everytime I get on it.

A good test would be to stop and after a few days if it stops, then it is just the vitamins.

Good day
