Train, Train - Eden Crow styleHey - I read this post earlier and was dying to watch it but YouTube is blocked at work. Well, I just remembered now in the middle of my housework. So, I paused my Ipod (Justin Timberlake - Sexy Back - my taste in music is REALLY varied) to watch it. It's fantastic. You look great on stage! Well if I can upstage Justin Timberflake... er... lake, then that's gotta be a good sign! ![]() ![]() Thanks for sharing and don't forget us when you hit the big time.
Alright, Nick! You did it. You literally rocked me out of hiding. That is some
awesome noise y'all are making there! You know I have loved more than my share of bass players, and every last one of them was a bouncing spaz on the stage--how could you not? you're laying out the bass riff for cryin' out loud--not a job for some stiff! You , my man, are AWESOME! (uh, do you young people still say "awesome" ?... )
But, seriously, you need to get your singer some new pants...he just can't go any further in life with those pants...really....
But, seriously, you need to get your singer some new pants...he just can't go
any further in life with those pants...really....
I have joked with him about that. He wears those pants about every other show we do, and each time, the holes get a little bigger. I told him that we're going to be in the middle of a show one day, and they're just going to disintegrate and fall off of him.
I guess if that did actually have to happen though, it should happen during the song "Strip."
Glad to see you back on here. It pretty much takes someone who's 2 time zones behind me to keep up with my insomnia.
Glad to see you back on here. It pretty much takes
Think of my insomnia, next time you feel lonely here--ain't nothing but the big blue ocean west of here! When I have insomnia (oh, yeah, lots...), I'm lucky if there's one person from australia here (you know who you are, you wonderful aussies) and Norwaymom! got to go figure out the time differences. It LOOKS good, I have no sound! Ill repost when I get my headphones Nick, Try playing some Doors, Their lead singer was arrested for performing without his pants.
Or the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I read that one time Anthony Kiedas went on stage to perform wearing only a tube sock covering a usually private part.
Nick, Try playing some Doors, Their lead singer was arrested for performing without his pants.

That was Woodstock '99. All four of the Chili Peppers came out naked with tube-sock phalluses for that show. Love that song, I want to see more EDEN CROW. And I agree with the everybody, You look great and steal the show.
I remember woodstock 99 and the socks. Nick...I finally took the time that it takes to get a video to come through from utube on dialup and watched today. That was great. I'm showing my cousin the video and asking if she wants to ditch finals and hit that show May 10th lol.
I remember woodstock 99 and the socks. Yeah somehow I don't think she'll go for that one... But don't worry. From what I heard from McCuin's frontman, we will probably hit Texarkana twice this year. There's a bigger venue there who will have representatives watching us May 10, and if they like us, they will book us. But for all you guys who don't like holey pants, here's a pic of us at Neil's in Memphis -- Cowboy is wearing pants that are INTACT in this one. Note that he has an armband with the Eden Crow logo on it -- eventually I will be wearing one of those regularly as well.
![]() You have quite a large one here (all three, four? of us. ).
This is from the Rev Room in Little Rock. Apparently, someone videotaped one of our songs because we found it on youtube last week...
Oddly enough, the one song that is on youtube is the only song we play that is not original. Also, I have to warn you that the sound quality of this recording is NOT that great, and also there's some background noise from the crowd, but if you care to watch, this is about the last 2 minutes of our rendition of Blackfoot's "Train, Train." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWzjvhd_RFs The good news is that our lead singer's wife has got a good video recorder now, and the sound quality on hers is much better than this one. So I hope to get a few good videos up of the Searcy show this weekend. If all goes well maybe I can do that sometime next week. That was so freaking cool..hey your singer has holes in his pants..you might want to tell his wife to sew them up:P You were rocking all over the place~very awesome strumming...I smiled all the way through..felt like I was watching my bro playing..sooo proud:) Thanks for sharing:) That was GREAT Nick! There was a link to some behind the scenes stuff too. I only watched the first few minutes - I'll have to go back at some other time to watch the rest (it was over 10 minutes long). Well, I hope the tour goes well for you - you guys rock! Very cool! I don't know if your singer would appreciate this, but I thought you were by far the most entertaining to watch. You really worked the whole stage! Wishing you and the rest of Eden Crow much success. Good Job Nick! I can see that you "Ain't Skeered" about being up on stage and in the limelight. I hope that you are having as much fun playing out as I used to have, and that it never gets old.John
Good Job Nick! As a matter of fact, one thing I tell people about my tendency to "transform" when I start playing is that when I'm up there, that's the ONE place where I'm not afraid of anything. Everything else has its what ifs and maybes that I can't figure out, but once I know the way that music is put together, then I don't worry about a thing. Even if someone in the band misses a transition or an entrance, the rest of us play off of each other so well that we can recover and the person who messed up can jump right back in without the song crashing. It's really cool. I would be up there playing all the time if I had the repertoire and the stamina for it. That was GREAT Nick! There was a link to some behind the scenes stuff too. I only watched the first few minutes - I'll have to go back at some other time to watch the rest (it was over 10 minutes long).
Yeah I don't know if I'd bother with much of the VIP link if I were you. It's mostly McCuin's guys being drunk & stupid, and I think Cowboy may have had a few by that point as well.
I would say that if we could get a video on our bus, with a couple of us playing PS2, at least one of us munching on junk food, a few guests on board hanging out, and a few random "drinks" scattered about, that might be more indicative of how we look behind the scenes.
But thanks for checking us out and I promise to have some better-quality footage for you as soon as I can get my hands on it.
Later. Very cool! I don't know if your singer would appreciate this, but I thought you were by far the most entertaining to watch. You really worked the whole stage! Wishing you and the rest of Eden Crow much success.
Yeah, I don't think he'd mind. He has even said he is entertained watching me run all over the place too. That song was pretty early in the set though -- I usually get more animated as we get closer to the end because I get more familiar with the stage.
The funny thing is people always say they never expect that out of me because I'm so quiet and reserved most of the time. They say I "transform" when I get on stage. |
