Who here has them and are they both ASD or on ASD and on NT.. Fraternal Boys: 1 ASD, 1 NTI have fraternal twin boys. One with suspected autism and one who is a typical 2 year old. I just wonder how to balance them some times. They both need the one on one and I wish there was more of me to go around because I don't want anyone to feel left out.Fraternal twin boys now 5.5 yrs old. Both ASD, diagnosed at 3 yrs old. I've worked with a set of twins, identical, one with issues (not ASD), the other typical. There are three other sets of twins that I know of in our program. Two sets identical, one fraternal, both in each set have autism. The two sets of identicals are girls, the one set of fraternal are boys. I have fraternal twins, boy/girl. My boy is ASD and my daughter is NT. I also have fraternal twin boys, going on 15 years old now. One is NT and the other ASD. Alli My best friend has identical twin girls, 1 asd, 1 ntI have fraternal twins. My son has ASD, my daughter is NT.I'm really hoping that at some point they use twins for autism research. I'm very curious about some of the in-utero (sp?) theories that are going around and think twins would make an interesting study for this area of research. My twins have been involved in a twins/autism study through a university for over 2 years now. It consists of massive amounts of paperwork for me, but I feel like I am contributing to a worthwhile cause!
My twins have been involved in a twins/autism study through a university for over 2 years now. It consists of massive amounts of paperwork for me, but I feel like I am contributing to a worthwhile cause!
Hey that is awesome, good for you.. ![]() My son is ASD and his twin sister is NT. I am so eager to know how the other Mom's of twins did it at the toddler age because lately I feel so worn out like I have to drag myself out of bed sometimes. I have FRATERNAL 4 yr old twins
1 has aspergers one is "fine" My twins are going to be 15 in April. I have been told by doctors that Cody's growth and progress has a great deal to due with having a twin that is NT to look to. Alli My babies are just about 3. Will be in June. 1 is suspected ASD not tested yet the othe is fine. I wish they were closer. I remember when I was pregnant the Doctor told me they would be the best of friends but that is not the case. They hardly know each other. Maybe a hug or a giggle once in a while but they are SOOOOOO different from each other. I wish they could know the love I have for both of them. I suppose at this young age it's beyond even the "normal" one. Kids are selfish after all. But it breaks my heart that they are missing out on each other because of this HORRIBLE DEMON called autism. I effing hate autism. I would rather my son had FAS so I could blame someone(myself) but I can't even do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sorry for venting, Frustrated in Camrose!!!!I have fraternal twin girls, 2.5, both recently diagnosed on the spectrum. |
