I had a day off yesterday so I took Anthony and Dominic to BurgerKing for lunch and to play in the playland. Before we left, Anthony asked me if anybody from his school would be there. I told him I didn't think so. He said he wished somebody he knew was there. After we arrived, he played for a while by himself and then approached a little boy and they started playing together. He seemed very determined to find someone to play with. And he picked someone who was his age, a peer. While they were playing I walked near them to check on Dominic. Anthony called me over and said "Mom this is my friend, Billy. Billy this is my mom, (insert my first name here)". Very cute and appropriate. A little later Billy came over to me and said, "Anthony wants to come to my house. I live at 123 Main Street and my mom's phone number is 555-5555." What a riot! Wow--what a little social butterfly! Good to know he know his personal info too. My son calls me "mommy, insert my name here". It so funny I don't usually correct it. Yeah sounds like Anthony is seeking out friendship. That is great news. You might want to try a play date at BK next time. Good job Anthony. What a social butterfly! Great job on making friends! He seems to be doingso well! |
