Our New Puppy
Oh my oh my! Congrats!!! she sure is a cutie.
I have to post some of my new pup, too--I just misplaced that little adapter thingie to upload pics, gosh darn it. So, how is Lola adjusting? How is her "puppiness" expressing itself? How's the family doing? Do tell.I love her!!!
Her name was Lola, she was a show girl..... L.O.L.A. Lola, La la la la Lola..... She has her own theme songs.
hahaha... I was just thinking of that song when I read the name of your dog. Awsome, I am glad you decided to get her. A very nice addition to your fam.double post Her name was Lola, she was a show girl..... L.O.L.A. Lola, La la la la Lola..... She has her own theme songs.
Adorable, but I did not think of The Copa...I thought of the Kinks! I met her in a club down in old Soho
She's 1/2 lab and 1/2 golden retriever. We saw her sister when we picked her up and she's also all black but looks just like a golden with long wavy hair. She's very much a puppy. She was chasing her tail this morning and she caught it - it was quite funny. We've had a few accidents but luckily, she's locked out of anywhere there is carpet so the clean up is ok. We are crate training her and she's able to hold it all night so that's fantastic. Dominic is chasing her all around the house saying "Puppy - hold you!" and then he tries to pick her up and she is way to squirmy for that! He loves to run so she'll chase him. My usually very cuddly in the morning Anthony is completely ignoring me when he wakes up and instead goes looking for Lola. Frankie took her picture to school on Monday morning and was so happy to show it off. He's been taking her out to go potty and even cleaned up poop. I nearly fell over because he's my squeamish kid. So, all in all it's been a good experience - so far - we'll see how I feel when she eats my favorite shoes! We found her on Petfinder.com which is one of those websites for dogs available for adoption. I don't know if this will work but here's a link to her sister's picture. It also has one with Lola in it with her previous, not nearly as cute name. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=101 03341 Lola...my dh ex girlfriend's name..sooo appropriate! Very cute & adorable! OMG! She is SO cute! Cam-I thought of The Kinks too! Tiffany
She's 1/2 lab and 1/2 golden retriever. She sounds like she is very therapeutic for your son :D This is Ginny when she was a baby and this is her now.....I think some one made a boo boo at the pet store but she is the love of my life lol Oneirophobia: Oh GINNY, I am totally in love!!!!! She looks like a combination of my last dearly departed dog and my current dog. Looks like a total love bunny. Love the ears. Give her some snout shakes for me!
So, all in all it's been a good experience - so far - we'll see how I feel when she eats my favorite shoes!
We have a chocolate lab. She has been a SAINT with the boys! When she was a puppy, I put raw hides/chewies all over the house because I was worried she was going to chew the house up. It looked a little rediculous, but it worked! She never chewed on anything she wasn't supposed to. A lady I used to work with raised Golden Retrievers and was very active in kennel clubs. She gave me the tip. Again, your pup is adorable! She is soooo adorable!!!!! We have a retriever, his thing was cords!! Hide any kind of cords...oh and socks and undies. Retrievers like to retrieve things, lol...our guy is so proud of himself when he sneaks upstairs finds a pair of socks or undies that the kids leave laying around and proudy displays his find in the middle of our livingroom...company or not!! ![]() P.S. - Hide the shoes for a while. I like to keep them on top of the dresser - many pairs ruined.
Oh man is she cute!!! I love the name.
*agrees* Oneirphobia - those ears are fabulous! WiMom - thanks for the tip. I bought her a bag of those and she does like them. I will litter them around the house!
Oneirophobia:Oh GINNY, I am totally in love!!!!! Her ears are so so funny, for a long time one was up and was still folded over like in her baby picture. They finally both went to sticking straight up. She loves to play with Mommy or just snuggle up in her Daddy's lap (my boyfriend hehe) she is getting to big for even his lap. We share a bed every night and I wouldn't trade her for the world. She would be a great therapy dog if she wasn't afraid of loud noises..... and yes I did name after Ginny Weasly from the Harry Potter novels becuase she has a very fiesty personality :D what an ADORABLE puppy!!! |
