Recognizing an Autism Consultant ?

How do I recognize an outstanding Autism Consultant that works for the School system? Do I write a letter to her superior, or administration. I 'm assuming her boss is the Spec.  Ed director, but I'm not sure about that either. She works at several different Schools throughout the district, but does have a home base at one of the Schools.  I would write the letter to the Director of Special Services for the school district.  You could always call the director to make sure they are the person who you should direct the letter to.I always try to ask parents. They can usually give insight school administrators can't. Plus you'll know the consultant's view's on things before you meet with them.Director of special education is the one that calls all the other "specialists" into a childs IEP so I would start there:) She will make sure it goes where it is supposed to go if she is not the head honcho:P
