GF/CF when eating out?

We usually just don't go out to eat. But I'm thinking next time we do, picking up Wendy's fries for DS and taking those for him to have. I wonder if the restraunt will give us problems?

But I agree, there's never anything DS, will eat that is GF at most restraunts. Even if they do serve GF. It's never stuff DS will eat.

How do you guys do it??  We have some favorite places we used to take ds all the time before the twins came.  And now we want to start bringing him out again... But we can't let him have the same appetizers and stuff he used to eat.  What do you guys do if you LOs are on a GFCF diet?  I would feel awful delving into chimichangas which he used to eat... I mean, obviously we wouldn't order something we used to order for him, but... You get the point.

I can't imagine putting a piece of hard-as-rock GF toast in a baggie.... The poor kiddo.  I can take a sippy of his CF milk, but was wondering what you guys do?  Do you call restaurants ahead of time?

FYI, today I called a bunch of McDonalds since I read that their fries may no longer be GF.... And the fries we had been buying him were in fact NOT GF.  But we found another McD's in the area that are....
Charlie39452.9139351852Hi again!

There is a Topic on here (from beginning of week) that says "Good tasting GF/CF foods"(someting like that).  Someone posted a list of restaurants (Chain type) that serve GF/CF food.  I was surprised by how many on list.

These restaurants do not allow laptops!(lol)
Found it - it wasn't a list, but a link.  I could still swear I saw a list on here once.

Bon Apetit!

Red Robin has been awesome and often has a separate fryer for there fries.  We get her a grilled chicken breast and let them know she is gf and they have been very careful.   We also do Mexican and Thai.  Chicken pad thai is rice noodles.  We get her a chicken enchilada (corn tortilla) no cheese no sauce and put mild salsa on it with rice.
I worry sometimes about the tortilla having something in it, but so far so good.
P.F. Changs has a GF menu...we usually do the mexican thing as well (corn, rice, meat) [QUOTE=1 ShyCladBoy]
