ABout speech progress? My son is 33 months and i put him on the diet for about a month and half and stopped because i was not very convinced and he was not eating much and lost weight despite all the products i bought! My question is i find his speech a little bit regressed since a week and i don't know if it related to that. He made enourmous progress these last few months, i can speak and ask questions and he answers even if i don't understand all the time and it is difficult for those who are not with him everyday to understand as i do but he talks. He mixes the baby jargon more with the regular speach. He speaks french and just started school where they speak in english but we speak french at home so i am wondering also if it is not because of the confusion english/french? Thank you Did his speech  improve somewhat while he was on the diet?  Maybe the regression is getting back to where he was before?  I would bring this up with doctor who prescribed diet. We stopped the diet for the same reasons you did. Good Luck! not really or i don't know actually! Thank you We saw this also.  We then had to study more ways to make "the diet" healthier for my son.  We don't really buy packaged foods, we mostly make our own. He has now not lost weight but is gaining and is healthy.
