Tomatis Update

I posted a few months ago wondering if anyone had tried and had success with Tomatis. I wanted to give an update on my borderline PDD-NOS 4 year old. He went through the first loop in October and we saw results almost immediately. He has sensory and regulation issues and we saw significant improvement. He is less sensitive to sounds (i.e. does not freak out over the mixer) and his overall mood and energy level improved helping with transitions and willingness to try new things. He is also settling much faster when going to sleep at night and sleeping more deeply and soundly. Tomatis is a big investment, in terms of both time and $$ but my husband and I agree that it's been well worth it for our son. We've seen as much progress in 2 weeks of Tomatis as in 2 years of therapy.

Tomatis results vary dramatically between kids, but just wanted to share the positive results we've seen. I can't wait to see what improvements we might see after the next 2 loops!

Thanks for the update.I have been looking into a number of auditory
processing programs. They all are pretty expensive ad I am a little
confused about the differences in the different methos but it is
encouraging to hear they do help. Why did you decide on Tomatis over
some of the other methods?
Wow, That's terrific!  We were all set to do Tomatis this fall, but last minute found out that we had to wait because my daughter needed ear tube/adenoid removal surgery...she wasn't hearing much.  If the surgery gets her to start talking, then we probably won't do Tomatis.  If not, then I'm glad to hear that it is working...I've heard mixed things, and I was terrified to spend the money for it!!!  Please let me know how the other loops go, I really want to find out the progress!!  BTW, you don't happen to live in Las vegas do you?  Our Tomatis was starting in October as well...probably just coincidence!!
