what do they all mean? | Autism PDD

I know this may be a stupid question.  However, I don't know what all the initials stand for.  what is "dx"??  I am catching on to some of the initials, but not ALL of them.  Is there some kind of dictionary for dummies like me?

This may help. THe Dicttionary for parents of children with disabilities is being worked on, but a useful site.

DX is diagnosis.
When I go to an ARC meeting, I still take a list of acronyms that EI gave me during my sons transition.
It can all get OVERWHELMING some times.
CALGON!!!!!!!!!!!! Take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link!  I added it to my favorites, in case I need to refer back to initials, again.  However, I didn't see just "NT"  nor did I see "DX"  Do "we" as a family here, just KNOW what we are talking about and give it "initials"  I am basically just a "newbie" with tons and tons of questions.  I don't mean to take up the time of others with my frivilous questions as I KNOW we are ALL busy with TRYING to fight for our children's rights!

Screech

Dx is diagnosis

NT.............Neurologically Typical

This is a wonderful list of abbreviations, my thanks to whomever made it!

Thanks Jean!

I can not say I absorbed "all" of it, but it helps to know what people are talking about, and be able to focus more on the issues than the initials. (lol)  All of this is so so soooo overwhelming.  I keep trying to find out more and more so that I am better equipt to fight for AJ's rights!  I can't thank you ALL enough!!!
