For all of you who have been following our year long saga of floor-phobia:

Jasper played legos with me on our huge new area rug for about 10 minutes!
(until a plane flew overhead--that's a trigger for his OCD rituals)

THEN.....drumroll......When I asked him to wash his hands for dinnertime, he
rolled a matchbox car ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES, across the wood floor into
the bathroom!!!!!

I said not a single word. I just stood there with my jaw on the ground and
my heart swelling up with pride.

Then of course, he was up untl 11 pm (fall-out, I think) BUT, OH MY GOSH!YAY! Excellent!That's great. I remember you thinking of getting rugs to form an island and all kinds of stuff. How wonderfull. Congratulations!

Small conquest... leading to GREATER ONES in the FUTURE !!

Way to go, Jasper!!! Loved the part of the car following too... then one day he'll throw in the sound effects.... and everyone can chip in with the Nascar sound effect and soon he'll be rolling and playing on the floor in no time..

Shivers of joy for mom:) Great job! That is awesome! Have you ever used a blanket and pulled him
around the room? My little guy loves that. The wood floor is perfect for that
as well.
