hi Screech,
I'm not sure about if its common...but my son has a feet issue lately, where we have major wrestling matches trying to put on his shoes and socks...he also thinks my feet are cool, (I hate my feet!) and will rub them when we are cuddling on the couch, he likes me to rub his feet too...its very sweet LOL
Does AJ talk? HAve you asked him why he's doing it? Sometimes its a phase, other times its a new stim, does he have a behavior specialist, or o/t you could talk to about it...I wish you luck hon and sorry not much help...be careful until you figure it out dont' fall over him when he grabs at your feet! Yikes that could be painful!
hugs!
Ali
AJ is starting to grab my feet when I walk. I have almost fell a couple times. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you deal with this sort of behavior???
Now he is starting to drag his left toe. Where do these new behaviors come in??? Is this considered "learned behavior"? Are there "other" behaviors that will come my way that I don't know about? Something that is "common" among our PDD children???
AJ does not know how to drink through a straw yet. I will be working with him on that..gonna get him a silly straw like my hubby said and see iffen that doesn't encourage him more to do so. Do any of your children have a problem with buttons on their clothes? AJ REFUSES to wear any type of button up shirt or pj's. He won that fight!
Now he is starting to climb under the bed or pull out the dresser drawer and crawl under it as I change him. I turned around to seal his diaper in a bag and replace it with a new one (all right there in his room) and I heard a noise i turned around and here the dresser almost fell on top of him!
