That is awesome Mary!
...I'm glad that things are looking up for you and the boys!
Good things are always right around the corner! Glad to hear you got there.
Mary,
This is such awesome news! You had such a rough patch for a while, and
now you're seeing the sweet rewards of being a dedicated mom. Good for
you! You deserve it!
Hi Mary. Just like bad things....good things come in bunches. I bet more good things are just around the corner.
BTW...have you tried silk boxers? My older son, who had sensory issues...loved silk boxers. But then again...so do I (perhaps too much info, huh? LOL)

Mary,
I'm so glad things have turned around for you and that you are in a better place now than you were a few months ago. I'm so happy for you!
Wonderful news..You deserve some! Enjoy and have a fantastic weekend! :)We're not in a bad place at all anymore. The boys are both happy and healthy. Brendon likes his new aid. The first time he was ever really around her for longer than an hour was halloween night. He played so hard with her that he didn't get to go trick or treating. I thought he was getting an ear infection and that's why he got tired, but no infection and they were having a good time about two hours before. He just wore himself out. His new aid is way overqualified for the job in my opinion. She actually has a degree and is only two semesters away from a degree in elementary education. She's worked as a nanny for the last 16 years. The last year and a half of that was spent with a little girl who was receintly diagnosed Aspergers. Like I said...she's way overqualified. Another good thing about her is she's always talking. Brendon has a very verbal role model for the first time really. Remember his dad and I both are most likely on the spectrum ourselves. I do my best to talk to them as much as possible, but sometimes it's hard for me to do. Oh and one more thing about B. He's sleeping under a blanket now guys....every night. It wasn't a fluke like the underwear was. We're still searching for a material he can tolerate on the undeies and so far no luck. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of trying homemade burlap now lol. I'm desperate.
Wow this is getting long already and there's still more to tell about. Jacob has spontaneous speech now. It's not alot, but I've heard some phrases in the last couple of days that were not prompted in any way and that were most likely not echolic. He came running into the living room last night and rubbed my face and said, "My Mama." Not prompted by anything but seeing my face. That was awesome. He's started making his favorite toy, his Tigger that he's had for 2 years, do ABA lol. He's trying to make tigger touch body parts when he's told to. I'd call that some pretty good pretend play lol. All I can say is that I've been doing ABA with him since he had that one regression. His speech is still very much delayed, but it's comming around. I'm at one of those crossroads now where I'm wondering if he's even on the spectrum. He'll probably have a meltdown tonight just to make that nice little feeling go away lol. It's happened before. I think if the school system were to do that same evaluation today that they did on the 16th of Sept...he'd not qualify for services. He's progressing that much and that fast.
Thanks for reading this if you got this far. You guys were really supportive to me receintly when I was going through one of the toughest times in my life and I wanted to report some good things for a change.
It is great to hear good things from you. I am glad everything is going well.
