Good site for teachers? | Autism PDD

Share

Is there a good site that I can go to and print up a list of stuff for the teacher and tips on how to teach my son?

When we had a bipolar dx I had found a great site and printed up the pages and also sent them the links, it helped them immensely.  It was written in teacher-ese and made a lot of sense.

Thanks.

If you are dealing with Asperger's here is a good site www.aspergersyndrome.org

Thanks that list from ellennotbohm is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm about to check out the aspergers site now.

Thank you both of you.

Here are a few good websites:

Also do a search for Sue Larkey. She was a teacher at an autism specific school and now does consulting work in Australia. She has a lot of great tips for School(thats her specialty) Liz

I LOVE Ellen Notbohm, but here are some other things that were written for teachers:

http://www.nea.org/specialed/images/autismpuzzle.pdf - "The Puzzle of Autism" by the National Education Association in cooperation with the Autism Society of America.

http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/teachers_guide.html - "Asperger Syndrome Guide for Teachers" by OASIS parents.

Good luck with everything.
