Autism lecture takes a close look at the ‘whole person’

Susan Varsames, founder of Holistic Learning Center, will discuss
autism and understanding the “whole person” on Monday, Oct. 29 at
Christ Church Greenwich in the Parish House, 240 Putnam Ave.
Ms. Varsames, an expert in her field and 25-year practitioner, will
speak about alternative therapies and how to restore balance so the
body heals itself with regard to your child, relative or friedn with an
intellectual disability or autism. She will touch on healing practices
including movement, sensory diet, behavioral or green environment.
The speaker will bring articles and have some books available for
purchase. Bernadette Johnson, director of integrative health at
Greenwich Hospital, and Donna Gialdiosi, director of the wellness
center at Greenwich Hospital have been invited as have been Peter Tesei
and Lin Lavery, candidates for First Selectma and selectman.
Pizza will be provided.
The event is organized by Friends of Austic People, a nonprofit
organization advocating for lifespan services for the full spectrum of
children with autism as they mature into adulthood. For more
