Formaldyhyde is in alot of hair products we use and even in some toothpastes and other hygiene products. They use different names for it, but the most common one is Quaternium-15. Here are some other products with it in it as well as other toxins.
I know that people can outgrown asthma. My son was in the hospital about 2x a month. The last time was 2 weeks before I changed products. I don't think that is a long enough time frame to "outgrow" asthma.

Wow! Thanks for the info! Luke had asthmatic symptoms when he was younger, but since we changed his diet, he's been breathing MUCH better. His nose is still stuffy frequently, however, and he still has raccoon eyes (though lighter than they were). I never knew that shampoos with lavender were bad for kids with asthma! I LOVE the way it makes my kids' hair smell, but I will be changing products! Thanks for the info on the other things as well. Will have to change products and read their ingredients more carefully. My son is 4, and of course, Autistic. He also had asthma. I knew that Johnson's Baby shampoo had formaldahyde in it, and the "bedtime" and "lavander" products were not to be used on kids with asthma (it isn't listed on the bottle, you have to go to the Johnson's Baby website). I started looking for stuff I could use on him that was safe, plus I knew that toxins we most likely the cause of this astma and autism. I found a company that sells non toxic products and most were cheaper than Walmart. I switched stores, and started buying everything from shampoo, deodorant, cleaning supplies, etc from them. Andrew's starting improving like crazy, he got his speech back, quit head banging, started potty training, and now, gets to go to kindergarten next year. He has also not needed any of this inhalers since January. He is still has Autism, he just had a huge turn around when I did this. The future is looking brighter every day.
Just like every other thing, GF/CF, Chelation, etc, they might not work for every kid. Has anyone tried anything like this for your child with Autism? Just wanted to see if anyone else has and also had improvements.
