My son’s miracle worker OT | Autism PDD

That is great! Very Good B! Keep up the good work!I am so happy that he is making such great progress.  Adam had different issues than B. But my OT was as much of a miracle worker as yours.  I have exponded on her abilities to everyone who will listen.  He went for 2 years and when he was dismissed, I think I was more sad than him.   

B's OT has really been working with him on tactile stimulation.  I've tried working on this stuff before, but this woman seems to have the "magic touch" with my son.  For 5 years, I've done all of the exercises I hear about to help him with this...but nada really.   Now my baby gives me hugs and knee sugars all the time.  He can handle a visitor rubbing him on the head with a smile instead of running off in terror.  I was so happy with all of this progress, but the real kicker that makes me think that this woman is a miracle worker is that Brendon is sleeping under covers for the first time....EVER.  Tonight is the third night, and instead of me having to cover him up after he falls asleep and getting up each hour to make sure he's warm enough, he's staying under it all night.  Tonight he even grabbed the blanket up and covered up his legs himself (YAY!).  The blanket we're using is a 3 pound weighted blanket.  Like I've said before...it's the little things that thrill me.

Are those weighted blankets expensive? I wanted to try one, but since my son doesn't sleep under cover at this point I was rather reluctant to buy one. I think it might help his sleep a bit as well. And, I'm tired of Mr. cold feet joining me in bed around 3:00 a.m.

Great to hear that they are clicking.  That is something that money can't buy.  It is either luck or karma.  Either way, this is great news.

Now you get to tuck him in at night.

Why do you think our kids dnt like covers - r is like that too

Try E-bay for the weighted blankets.  Also try searching the site.  I think there were some links to patterns if you or someone you know can sew.
