Looking back | Autism PDD

What a great idea!  Sometimes it's hard to see the changes, especially when they occur so gradually over time.  Dooder is Star of the Week this week, so we spent a good deal of time looking at old pictures to put on his Star poster and it was interesting to see how much he's changed!Yes, I do look back on things as well because it helps to know that they are
making progress. I especially like seeing friends after 2 months or so
because they notice the little changes on my guy and comment on it.

So, I joined this group close to a year ago, and I decided to go backwards and find my old posts and see how Nick has or hasn't changed over the year.

In December he actually pooped on the potty!  I don't even remember that.  It must have been the last time!

I also wrote about how he runs back and forth - that hasn't changed - LOL!

BUT - I also wrote in March that he would not make eye contact with me and was increasingly non verbal.  TOTALLY changed in the last 7 months.  His eye contact is fantastic, and his verbal skills are getting better, even if it is a lot of echolalia - he is talking much more then he was.

It was really interesting to look back and see how things were.  It makes me realize that he is, in fact, improving - at least in some significant areas.

I can't get it to let me search for my own posts.
