Hi Mikki
I don't think I could recommend anyone use this as this reduces acid in the stomach and usually we need to aid the acid in the stomach for digestion. A better option is to take digestive enzymes.

I have only seen Zantac pediatric drops or liquid used in children with severe and/or symptomatic GERD = Gastrointestinal Reflux Disease. Zantac may be used to calm the situation down, but it's best if it does not have to be used chronically if at all possible.
I'm not sure I see the correlation between GF/CF and Zantac.
The dietary change often is due to the hypothesis that Gluten and Casien cannot be properly processed by a person on the spectrum and may actually induce an opiate-like state.
Zantac is for GERDS and heartburn and the like.
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever mentioned this as a alternative to GF/CF...
