| Halloween Party
If you're planning on accomanying him to the party, I think it would be nice
to call ahead and let the parents know about his autism. Just thank them for
including him, tell them he's not ready to do a party without a familiar adult
around, and say. "since I'll be hanging around, I'd be more than happy to
help out. Is there anything I can bring?"
what do you think?
Quinn has a new classmate who is has invited the whole class, the teacher and Quinn's para over to his house for a halloween party this coming Saturday afternoon.
I'm not sure if I should just go with him and hope that the parents don't mind me sticking around or if i should call the parents and explain that Quinn has autism to them. The invitation sorta sounds like an open house, I could be wrong, it says stop my from 1-4 and RSVP for regrets only. What would you do?momof139377.7319444444I probably wont be the only other parent there. I'm hoping that I'm not the only other one so that me staying doesn't stand out tooo much. I'm going to call them today....I'm hoping that they can use an extra hand.I would go and stay a bit then explain the situation if need be. Have FUN I think it would be best if I did call ahead and explain the situation to them. They might welcome parents since the whole class was invited. I am always happy to have parents stay with their children at Quinn's parties and most of them do. I love the company and the help. That is wonderful! I did that with J and they really did need an extra hand with the party
