dee-sorry to here about jack hope he is doing better. my little one is going thrua tough time right now also. sarted to complain about his ear and then it started to bleed. well his tube that is still in is infected and they can not take it out until thurs. morning. still have 1 more day of antibiotic oral and ear drops. he is so miserable. i feel so bad for him .
so my little guy knows what your little guy is feeling.
here is to hoping they both get better soon.
ok excuse the rant here but i am soooooooo peed off its not real
i posted the other day about jack having toothache and because of the bank holiday no dentists been open anywas yesterday he got worse was complaining of headache and had a high temp so i phoned the emergancy dentist at 2.30 pm i am still waiting for them to return my call over 30 hours later.Needless to say i gave up on that we got his temp under control and got him off to sleep and had a reasonable night first thing this morning i called our regular dentist only to find that they were taking a extra day for bank holiday so i still couldn't get him seen so i called the doctor who was amazing the receptionist was so good i could have kissed her all the had was come and sit and wait so i explained jack is autistic and ill and won't tolerate waiting so she asked how far we lived from the surgery i told her 5 minutes in the car so she offered to call us when it was about Jacks turn so we could just go in then which she did so we were in and out in 10mins and turns out not only does he have infection in the gum but also a throat infection so no wonder the poor little man has been so under the weather.But we still need to see the dentist tomorrow to get the tooth checked outI am going to complain about the on call service really annoyed if he had been seen yesterday and got started on the antibiotics (which he is HATING)he wouldn't have been has ill today so all in all really really stressed and annoyed right now and yet again i seem to have used this board for a rant feel free to ignore i just feel better once i have got it out and posted

I am SO sorry Jack is so ill! Hopefully he will be feeling much better in no time at all. I also hope the dental appointment goes better than expected and he is on his road to recovery so you can feel a little better too. I keep thinking one day we will sit and laugh at all the things we have been through with our kids and the stress we have delt with... Maybe it will help us welcome OLD AGE!?? I sure hope this isn't to prepare us for the grandparenting days!

Michelle what a scary thought grandparenting has got to be a doddle after this i intend on moving to the other nd of the country and seeing my grandkids at christmas just to make sure of that lol
but thanks guys it means alot just to know that there are people who understand without me having to explain going to phone the dentist at 9 and hope he will see him today i think he will i just hope he doesn't need to add in another antibiotic the doc said the one he gave him might not totally cover the dental problem but we will cross that bridge when we come to it

ok finally got to talk to our dentist and they were fantastic they are happy that the antibiotics jack is on will cover the dental infection so they don't want to put him thrpugh a visit because they can't do any thing until the infection clears so they have made him a appointment for first thing monday.On the matter of the out of hours service they gave me the number of complaints department who i have called and i have decided to make a formal complaint something i have never done before i have grumbled and addressed the issue with the practioner in question but i'm not going to leave it at that i'm going formally complain

Jean Sorry to hear your little guy has an ear infection! I remember those days all too well! Have you been able to do tubes? I also heard about keeping the head elevated when he sleeps to reduce the ear infections. Is it possible to raise the head of his bed a inch or 2? I hope he feels better quickly and you both get some sleep VERY soon!Hope bpth the boys are feeling better! Last Friday was an unplanned trip to the Dr. Yet another ear infection and it is soooooooooo unpleasent to take him to Dr anytime, but when he is sick, it absolutly exhausts me. His first symptoms are npt sleeping (he doesnt sleep well period, but as he is getting ill, he sleeps even less and fussiness). He still has a couple days of the medicine, ehich in itself is a feat.
Anyway, I can certainly understand how it is to have a sick lil guy and I send my best to all of you

I hope YOU got some rest whle he was gone!what a day!!! it has been a day and a half thank goodness he had a good breakfast because apart from a little bit of yoghurt to have his medicine that was it my mum came and took him for 2 hours this afternoon and has much as i love him boy was i glad to see him go but he is back now and getting ready for bed i hope he sleeps tonight

he's doing much better this morning he asked for scrambled eggs for breakfast and ate 2 scrambled eggs a piece of toast and a full cup of apple juice i was phoning dh and yelling down the phone he ate he ate lol i can't remember the last time he ate that much in a day let alone a meal so he is doing good this morning lets hope it lasts.

Glad to hear he seems to be feeling better and that he ate! Thats always a HUGE relief for us as parents! He probably was so hungry from being in pain and unable to eat that when he was able he needed to fill way up!your kidding it was mummy on speed lol
i went to pick us his script and get it filled i wnet to the supermarket and tried to get some small amount of order back into this disaster zone we call home and then he was back.I think he was a bit cross with me when he came back (even though he said he wanted to go with nan)because he kept saying nan take me mummy gone.No matter today is a new day and it WILL be a better day
