Hello,
I have a 3 year old PDDNOS daughter.  She is in a special needs preschool and working with speech therapists.  She struggles mostly with speech and processing information.  I am finding myself diving into books and info and now this site with so many questions.  I am interested in the gfcf diet and am finding very little resources in my small town.  I am looking forward to learning all I can from the people and resources on this site. I am new too and I wish you the best of luck on your quest for information. Believe it or not, that information is so much more available via the net than it was for me 9-10 yrs ago. I look forward to getting to know you and your daughter better.

Hi and wecome! There are lots of knowlegable people here, and I am not an expert on the diet. There is a great book of recipies at my library I used. I can't remember the name, but you should be able to find it. Just type in about gfcf diet on amazon or something.

I'd also look into ABA therapy. I wish I knew more about it when my son was younger. It is how kids on the spectrum usually learn best.

Welcome!  We don't do the GF/CF diet, but many here do.  The board has a diet section which you might want to check out.

When we were considering trying the diet, I found and saved the following web site in my favorites.  It tells how to get started, answers frequently asked questions, lists foods that are o.k., etc.

My youngest son's biggest struggle is also with speech.  To date, the thing that has helped him the most is VB/ABA.  I can't say enough good things about it.

here's a link to some recipes

Just want to jump in and say welcome!!

Welcome to the forum.  I live in Norway, and the resources here are just as limited as in a small town.  Thank goodness for the Internet!
