That's fantastic! Go ASH!!!
And Yep, I agree with Shelley, most bad weeks here are followed by some
huge and surprising developmental spurt!
Hi guys,
I just had to let ya'll know about what Ash started doing this week!! He can write his own name legibly without help!!!! Not just Ash but Ashlin!! He did it for the 1st time as school on Monday and they said that it was something they would learn next year in regular Pre-K. They even took it to his OT to see what he had done. He's been doing excellent on his tracing and he's now reading the following site words: stop, go, no, & yes.
It's weird but he hasn't had a good week with behaviors, he's been very stubborn and noncooperative so I guess you can't have it all. But I was happy about the writing b/c his dexterity has never been that good. Just wanted to share!! Thanks for listening!
Mindy
That's wonderful!That is great! Congratulations!
Our dd would have huge meltdowns & noncompliant behaviors before any big burst of improvements...makes you almost appreciate them ;)
I never thought about it that way but it does make sense for the major milestones to come hard faught!!
MamaKat - I saw your tag and it looks like mine!! They still don't know about Ash. They said it might be awhile before they can tell if it's PDD-NOS, Mild Autism or Aspergers. He'll be 4 next month. How long do you think it takes for them to be able to tell?
