Watch this vid - I feel pretty dang awesome right now!Did anyone see this? It is really cool!I did see it. I didn't respond because I thought my reaction was a little
jaded. I thought it was pretty cool, but I always think these lists aren't
entirely accurate. Some famous folks are kind of obvious to those who are
hyper-aware. But being smart, revolutionary, and "odd" doesn't necessarily
add up to autism.

I think the next step to bridge the gap between exploitative portrayals of
autism (in order to raise money or what not) and portrayals of paradigm
changing "autistic geniuses"

maybe it's the beginning of portaying the entire spectrum, with all it's
difficulties and all it's beauty, and everything inbetween. I thought this was really interesting! I don't know if I really believe that all those people were on the spectrum but I believe it's really important for children to have role models who struggle with similar things, yet were successful. Me being the little a.d.der that I am went on a youtube crazy and watched a bunch of videos.. Then I decided to find as many successful people with learning disabilities as I could, since I recently had someone tell me that they didn't think they'd ever amount to anything because they're ld. Either way this was a really cool video!! Do they really believe that Michael Jackson was on the spectrum? Facinating..

my post is kinda off topic but I'm having a very a.d.d day (and i've only been awake for 20 minutes!!)
Hopefully they can eventually add some more powerful and inspiring women who were or still are on the spectrum!I agree, some of them are not accurate. But i would say about 80% of the people are examples I have read in several books or articles. Not Michael jackson though - what is that about? LOL
