A little off the topic of autism...however, this article does show what great impact vaccines can have on our immune systems on a whole: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10 /16/AR2007101601392_pf.html It is very alarming to say the least. Excerpt from the article: The researchers attributed the emergence of the strain to a combination of the overuse of antibiotics and the introduction of a vaccine that protects against the infection. "The use of the vaccine created an ecological vacuum, and that combined with excessive use of antibiotics to create this new superbug," Pichichero said. My mom had it. She was working at a restaurant and she cut her finger. I think she got it from were she worked. I remember her telling me some of the gross people she was serving. She told me on the phone that her figure was swollen and turning black and starting to spread. She goes, I think I might loose my finger. I go what, you just cut it yesterday? She went to the Dr and yep she had it but they saved her finger. I don't think they gave her orange mold, she is allergic to it.AS for shots for my mom. Well my mom had all her shots before the 70's. She may get her booster every 10 yrs maybe. MRSA has been around a long time. When I was a Medical student in the 80's, I recall it affecting elderly patients in the hospital or chronically ill patients. It was a challenge to treat then, but there were a few antibiotics that worked. I'm more inclined to think the overprescription of antibiotics and the evolution of bacteria that are resistant to those antibiotics is a greater cause of this problem... I was going to say this too, it has been around a long time. I use to be an ICU nurse, up until 6wks ago, did it for 10 yrs. You know on admit to ICU pts are swabbed for this. It is also isolated, and at the hospital I work in, almost all the SICU/MICU pts have it, big hospital too. Nasty bug |
