Autism doc | Autism PDD

Today, I've finally found that there is an office here that treats autistic kids (all their needs not just autism), so I call to see if they are accepting new patients and they want to know what kind of insurance I have.

WTF???  You might have openings based on my insurance?  Are they serious?????  I have insurance plus medicaid for my son, so they would get paid but my goodness...

Anyone else have this happen?

Oh, and when I told her what kind of insurance I have instead of telling me if I could make an appointment or not, they transfered me to the nurses stations voicemail.  ?????

Totally normal.  I always get that question.  Some docs do not take Medicaid, some only take certain kinds of insurance.  I had to call 20 different dentists before I could find one that would take my kids insurance....I usually follow that up with whatever one I need to have to get in the door.
