Amino acids? | Autism PDD

I know Kirkman Labs sells amino acids...

C takes GABBA from their and it is a amino acid. They sell (looking in the catalog, lol) Amino support, gabba,L-glutamine, glycine, taurine l-carnosine, and creatine.Gabba- calming effect, restful sleep. glutamine- supports immune system, glycine is an inhibatory neurotransmitter and is also involved in the production of DNA, taurine is a sulfur containg amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter, has antioxidant properties and is needed for bilary function.Creatine is involved in energy trtanfer.... I suck at typing!!!!Look at Neuroscienceinc. com they do transmitter testing and results come with to take. Expensive stuff though. Dr. Rao does this test. We learned Daniel's day time levels are reversed from Normal. This means he is a late person and not a AM person. His transmitter's are working opposite than normal. My own psychologist just reccomended that I read a book about mood
regulation (for myself) and amino acids. She is very excited about this, and
has a couple of patients who have been really helped by this. Apparently,
treatment with certain amino acids can help with addiction, mood disorders,
and anxiety.

My question: does anyone have any info to share about amino acids and
autism? This is the first I have heard of it. Hoping someone with more
experience in biomedical treatments would know something.

Attend – Acclaimed Homeopathic Medicine for Behavioral Disorders i was reading this it sounded interesting

We use them at night before bed. This are the build blocks of protein we just laerned in daniel health unit last week.

The book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" has a whole section about amino acids. People who have leaky gut syndrome apparently don't produce enough of them, so our ASD kids would certainly be at risk. Just from her symptoms, I do believe my DD may be deficient in certain amino acids, and I'd like to have her tested. It's on my list of things to talk about when we have our next appt. with our naturopathic Dr. in January.

BTW, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" is a wonderful book about natural treatments (foods, vitamins, minerals, supplements, amino acids, enzymes, etc. etc.) and you can find it at any health food store. It's really helpful if anyone is interested in pursuing a natural approach to treating ASD, or any kind of illness.

Our Dr. Rao~DAN doc (not sure if it is the same one as daniel's mom) encouraged us to do the Carnaware or l-Carnosine 4 years ago..it was still pretty new in treating autism so we didnt do it..hmmm will be following thread though:) That is the same one we went to how strange we live in the same Metroplex area. I pm'd you did you get it? I found the amino's help with a better mood. I am adding fo me also. Daniel's supplements did work from neuro science right now no money for them. While he did them last school in Se few cpmlates and concerns about him. Both of us are terrible with typeing. The best thing about neuro science lab is you learn what the levels are when and each person's protocal is designed for them as a individual. The test was 190. and mailed in from home. It's a morning urine. Got results in 1 month at Dr. Rao.
