I'm not sure about my ds and pain. He seems to feel it, yet I swear he has feet of steel. He can walk on things that hurt the heck out of me. He will run on sharp grass or rocks. And there have been times he's come over w/ a bleeding cut on his head and doesn't seem to care or notice. But other times he gets bumped and cries like it hurts. I wonder if he feels some and some he doesn't or if maybe some places he is less sensitive. I hope Christian feels better soon and heals ok.

I'm sorry to hear about your son. Our son is 13 and he doesn't feel pain like "normal". He is a accident waiting to happen. 12 concussions; 11 sets of stitches; 2 broken arms; the hospital knows us well!well thurs.nite was a nitemare..christian was playin w/kids in driveway and in side of grass,his 2buddies were pulling wagons,and of course the USUAL,I had to tie his old bucket to wagon well he took it off wagon, and runnin around pushing bucket its plastic n big enough so his buddies mom n i wr chatting in driveway,I HEARD CHRISTIAN SCREAMING..RUNNIN TO ME OMG!!! HE TRIPPED AND HIT WHOLE SIDE OF HIS FACE IN PAVEMENT CRYING ..MY G/F SAYS OH HES OK..I SAID NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HES NOT...HE DOESNT FEEL PAIN LIKE WE DO,I RAN HIM INSIDE,HIS WHOLE RT. SIDE OF FACE WAS SCRAPED BADDD BLEEDING N HE HAD SCRATCHES ON CHEEK..try puttin ICE ON HIS FACE NO WAY!!! I WET A PAPERTOWEL N HE SAT N HELD IT..THE POOR KID.I WAS SO SCARED,b/c u ask wat hurts and he says ALWAYS NOTHING MOMMY..when you look at your own child you know ,there hurting but cant express it..tough as nails..hes goin to have a scar,a big one.Yesterday i was woried b/c his eye was so swollen I called doctor n took him over,CHRISTIAN HASNT BEEN RIGHT FOR 2WEEKS,they upped his depakote dose,so maybe its kikn in now,mom was there w/us..we r speakin again..checked him over in case he needed xrays..was scared he broke a bone in eyebrow area..omg my poor beautiful baby ..other dr.s in prac.wr like WOW WE DIDNT EVEN KNOW CHRISTIAN WAS HERE..LOL..QUIET DAY.,SO DOC.says keep eye out for concussion and more seizure act,.in nxt 48hrs.also did a throat cul.on him b/c of his throat was red..WELL HE HATED THAT..STREP IS GOIN AROUND.hes ok..but puttin ointment on cut.YOU NEVER KNOW HOW BAD R CHILD IS HURT B/C THEY HAVE A HIGH TOLERANCE TO PAIN.WELL THIS TIME WAS DEFINITLY DIFFERENT..he felt this one..BADDDDDDDD WEEK FOR ME AND MY FAMILY..BUT HOPEFULLY GETTIN BETTER..TAKE CARE ALL..Cyndie, Sorry to hear Christian got hurt. I hope he is feeling better soon.... gotta teach him how to run with 2 left feet and dodge the holes! LOL!I hope Christian is feeling better too. I know when Gabe got injured at day treatment, he decided to jump off the see saw when he was up in the air, he busted his head right above his eyebrow. Well when I got there, they had his head wrapped up like a mummy, and he was smiling and laughing. Wouldn't know he was hurt. Well needless to say when I got to the E.R., it wasn't as bad as it looked. Now he did reopen the stitches about five days to a week later, which I was told was real common with kids once the stitches were almost heal. Hope he recovers quickly.

Awww poor widdle fellas! Why is it that they are able to deal with pain more so than others? When AJ "sees" my expressions, then he KNOWS he is hurt. I TRY not to baby him, but sometimes it is hard not to!
