hello everyone -
My DS will be starting early intervention pre-school in the next couple of weeks...I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to label his items...do you use markers, iron ons, stickers??
I guess everything has to labeled.....
I usually write with a permanent marker on the label or item. And I do not
Oh thank you!!!! That is a good idea.....
Yes, its been quite a roller coaster ride of emotions these last few months...but its the right thing for my DS - I cant believe he is starting school!!!!
I hear so many good things on kids improving - so we are hopeful!!!!
I just used a Sharpie to label things. I also try to get it monogrammed if I can, say a backpack or something. I know that in general the monogramming isn't a good idea but he would never be without me or a teacher while carrying the item and he most likely would not answer if a stranger called his name anyway.... When Sharpie's won't do the job, I use fabric paint. It works for backpacks and glove, and is very good if you need to put a light color on something dark. I use a metalic marker sometimes too.I personally use a silver sharpie marker. I was even able to get it to show up on D's dark backpack fabric. I do first name and last initial on the inside or backside. Somewhere where people can't read it. Like on the backpack, I wrote it on the part that sits against his back. On his jacket, just under the collar on the inside. Makes it identifiable as his, but also keeps him safe just in case he does actually turn to his name and go with someone he doesn't know.
