That's so great!  I love it when I hear about words coming out.  My son did come up to me this morning and said mama while holding his arms up to me. It makes me feel good and bad all at the same time because I don't know when he will say it again. Maybe Months.

Here's to more good thing to come!

Thats great news. Sounds like he is commenting about his enviroment and
that is key. As for his articulation, the more you model the better he will
get. My little guy loves dogs and kitty cats too. He learned the names of all
the neighborhood pets before he learned the names of the kids.Jacob is making terrific progress!  The fact that he is pointing, asking what something is, and attempting to repeat the word is fantastic!  You must be soooo proud.  Savor all the good stuff! I always say if I'd only known then what I know now, things might be a little different with Brendon.  Well now I do know what I need to know...and ABA 3 hours a day has this kid really progressing.Mary its really good to hear about Jacob's progress. It makes all the hard work worthwhile doesn't it? LizYou really do work hard with them. Congratulations on the improvements you are seeing. I love the "my mama"!!

Mary,

So great to hear you are seeing some nice progress.  You are doing a great job with those little guys!

awwww....  great news, Mary.  You need a bit, lately.  Congratulations.

I know I've been way down in the dumps lately.  Lack of sleep will do that to a person.  I just want to say that there has been alot of positive going on too.  Especially with Jacob.  In the last two weeks he's learned how to verbally call the dog.  We don't have a dog, but the neighbor's pet filled our void for this.  He says, "Here puppy dog" and then smacks his lips together three or four times.  Its very cute.  He can say, "here kitty kitty" to call the cats too.  Both boys are now able to walk beside me without me having to have a hand perma attatched.  I have to stay close to B because he will take off, but so far so good with both of them on that.  Jacob has started pointing at things and saying, "that?" like he's asking, "what's that?"  He tries to verbally say the word after I say it first.  His pronunciation sucks, but I understand what he's trying to say and that's the first step right?  Earlier today when I logged on here, he saw my avitar picture and said, "My mama" while pointing at it.  That made my eyes leak a little lol.

It's been hard for all of us here I think since school started. None person here is alone. This is why message boards are here for us to share what we go thru. I wish all here a GREat weekend this week. Here school was out today and yesterday. We went wed. to the countey fair. Our daugther is ill today with fever. I hope it isn't the flu yet. If it is we will get the Natural flu remedie from the store. Fall is comeing here finally in Tx.
