Sounds like he is testing you. I would say something like, I guess you won't get (something he likes, cookie, small reward) later. If you want it ,you got to be good. Our son is worse as he get's older and he will be 12 in May. He's seeing a new Dr. on the 22 of this month.

You could Make him hold your hand, even if he tries to pull away ,or screams hold on tight ,he may get the picture ,if I cant listen and act like a big boy ,Mom will treat Me Like a baby,This worked with my son,(But he is not very big and I can still hold him,and he is not likely to have a total melt down in Public)

Social stories may help,or being consistent on taking away privileges after school.

God bless ,Linda

Sometimes it is just the change of going back to school and having to pay
attention all day. My sons sensory issues have gotten worse since school
has started. Just give him some time and maybe it will ease up GOOD
LUCK!

I don't have much advice, but hope it gets better. Isn't he doing an ABA program? IF so, they might be able to help you with some ideas. What about a schedule of some sorts. First, ...., then get on bus..., etc.?

Sounds like he is being a little stinker!

My son is driving me bonkers with is new morning fiaskos! He loves to not listen to me at the bus stop. He won't go where I want him to go. He won't get on the bus when I tell him too. He won't wait for me. This is all new. He used to be so compliant and now he has figured that he has a mind of his own. Now he gets that he doesn't always have to do what I want him to do. I hope this is a quick phase because every morning is rough.By the way, he smiles the whole time, like he's saying, "what are you going to do about it?" lol.  Just wanted to vent. Thanks. mollyalexis39366.5064351852I am my wits end with both our kids. They could careless what punishments you give them. They both con their Meme in to stuff. I just told her she will stop that stuff right now. Our kids both became non compliant when we let them attend public school.Lots of kids hate being told you must do this. Some think we should pay them to help at home. No way will I ever pay our kids for that. The best way to have a good morning is all stuff ready the night before. I wish school kids all did uniforms even the shoes. My fear is Daniel will be 13 in 2009 and is just going to get wose from this day on.
