I took Logan to the doctor today. He has a sever ear infection. The pedi thinks that is why he is banging his head and not responding. She said he probably can't hear me. She said if he is still acting this way when the infection is gone she will have to take a serious look at him. She also put him back on his reflux meds to see if that helps at all.

I showed her the tapes of him banging his head and not responding and she said it was not normal at all. She did ask about family history of migraines. I pray that he will go back to normal soon. If he doesn't this pedi seems like a good one. She was voted the number one doctor in this region by some magazine. We go back in 2 weeks so hopefully Logan will be smiling and responding again. Poor little guy is in so much pain and I din't even know it. I assumed he would have a fever with an ear infection.

Thanks for all your advice and kind words. I really hope I don't have to come back here but I know if I do there are some great people on here. Good luck everyone!

Amber

I hope Logan feels better soon!

I don't want to alarm you, because it seems like you have a lot on your plate already, but I would watch your baby closely. My son did the same thing with his ear infections, and he had no other symtoms. You also have to watch if you take antibiotics to clear the ear infection. It could cause a back up of yeast. If he gets them in a row, insist on tubes to be put in ASAP. Better to have a minor syrgery than a few years of medicine. I wish someone told me that when my son started having them at age 2.

Hope he gets better real soon.

I am praying that with the ear infection cleared up and the reflux under control with meds, your boy will be just fine very soon! I hope he is feeling better soon and things are back to normal.

Aww {HUGS} not that I am glad he has an earache but lets pray that is the casue of his behaviors. He did look in pain & seemed very comforted by you.

I also hope you won't have to come back to post here. Just watch for any indicators down the road. My 2yo cries a lot whenhe has earaches, and to be honst Ihave one now and I have been miserable. I have fluid and every now and then the muslce in my ear starts vibrating from fluid and it feels strange and it gets loud and painful so maybe he was experiencing that too!  I am not sure if it's always true, but usually ear infections and conjunctivitis go hand and hand. If my kids have they yucky eyeys they always have ear infections.

Anyhow- good luck with everything!!!
