Corn MazesThis past weekend we took the boys to a corn maze. They loved it!! It was a Spider Man themed maze, which they thought was very cool. My youngest did try picking up stray corn stalks along the way, but he was easily redirected. My oldest son liked figuring out the clues. The kids enjoyed themselves so much, we might be making this an annual tradition. I found the mazes in our area on the Corn Mazes America web site. If you click on your state, a listing of mazes will come up. http://www.cornmazesamerica.com/Directory.htm We did a pineapple maze when we went to the Dole Pineapple plantation in Hawaii (Oahu - North Shore) this summer. If it wasn't for Connor, they would have had to bring in search and rescue to find me He loved it! I could see his mathmaticians mind working in overdrive to figure out how to get us to each station, then out the exit, as fast as possible. Lots of fun! http://www.doleplantation.com/Maze/maze.aspxExcellent! We used to love doing these in NH. Great resource, thanks!Glad to hear the kids had fun. I went to one with my friend and his son and Nicholas. After about 20 minuts, Nick looks at me and says this is just a BIG boaring field. LOLWe went to Basse's Taste of Country Farm Market in Colgate. Next year I'd like to try someplace else just for something different. There were quite a few places to chose from.WIMOM2, which one did you go too? We have several in mind. My middle son wants to go at night when they are haunted, but I know Adam wouldn't be able to handle it. We did a corn maze last year.. It was so hot i thought my husband was going to pass out.. Our was a superman and batman.. The kids loved it we hated it.. I was so itching i just wanted to go home and shower.. And to top it all off the day cost me about $100.00 with picking apples and pumpkins.. This year we are just picking pumpkins no maze.. no scary rides.. The maze we went to had wide paths. It cost us $20.00 (4 people). If we had added the hay ride and a pumpkin, it would have been $40.00. I guess it just depends on where you go. We went to the local corn maze a few weeks ago and the kids LOVED it. Interesting note: my ASD son did a much better job choosing the correct direction to go in than my NT son. |
