THANKS JEN143!!!!!!!!!

I found the light switch covers at the web site you gave me - onestepahead.com!  I ordered a few.  I am going to try them out.  I'll report back.  There was a review on the item where one mother said they worked wonderfully.

Thanks so much!  Kudos to tips from other moms of special children!

Hi All

My son, AJ does that, too.  Also he has to push buttons all the time on EVERYTHING!  Another thing he does is this....he turns the lights on during the day, but shuts them off at night when we NEED them.  (lol)

Desperately need ideas from parents.

Found light switch covers!

Any tips on turning light switches on and off, water faucets on and off and opening fridge and oven doors.

Wants tips in the line of devices to go over light switches, devices to keep faucets from turning, and locking devices for fridge and oven doors.

Creatively developed ideas that have worked for you, but that may not be sold in a store are greately appreciated also.

Thanks,

LJD

I'm sorry I don't have much advice for you about the light switches or doors but this website has a load of child safety items:

www.onestepahead.com

We tried the oven lock made by Safety 1st and it was horrible!  We have actually used a bungee cord to keep the oven shut.  We hooked the end hooks kind of underneath the cook-top.

HTH!

i forgot about this but i have a few lights that we do not use often, like the fire place blower switch....i just tape them in the off position with clear packing tape. he never saw it as a challenge, just stopped playing with them.  and the he broke the safety locks off my cupboards, so now i just use the coated wire like they use for floral arrangements, and crafts, and just wind it around the door handles. it is too much of a bother for him to get under my sinks and stuff.

Hopefully someone can help us on this one!  These are my son's favorite activities.  He has figured out the child safety locks and with the light switches, I just do not know what to do.
