I got the kids bus schedules for the school year today. The good news is on Jeffrey's schedule it says "Aide Required". They pick him up at 8:33 a.m. and drop him off at 3:59 p.m. Now the bad news. Gee I couldn't have it easy here could I? Gabe's pickup is at 6:54 a.m. and his dropoff is at 2:18 p.m. Gabe is very lazy in the morning. He is soooooo hard to get up. Just like he is soooooooo hard to get to go to bed at night. But hey he will have no choice now. Looks like I will have to get up at 5 in the morning and get him up by 5:30 so his meds will be taking effect by the time he arrives at school.

Congradulations on the bus aide.
I can sympathize. I'm not a morning person either. Last year I was spoiled because Denny caught the bus at 8:10 so he helped with Jared who was 7:20 and Takoda 7:25. I took turns with Denny walking down our long drive to stand in the cold and wait on Takoda's bus. This year Denny starts big Jr. High and will catch the bus at 6 something (still haven't got the schedule and hope they send it before the first day this year.) I don't have to worry about Denny he will get himself ready he's reliable in the morning but Jared and Takoda are SO DIFFICULT! I still can't wait for school I need my vacation to begin so I guess it's worth it.
Nelle Nelle the bus aide is in the IEP, so they are not violating that, so far. Still don't know if they are training the bus aide and driver to be able to deal with Jeffrey's unique disabilities, as it is worded in the IEP. Tammy
