opinions on 5 yo booster | Autism PDD

I would do the blod test, because maybe it is totally unnecessary.

MMR is one vaccine we do not give due to unethical cell lines.
It includes aborted fetal cells in it.

What shots do you need for the 5 year boosters? We only needed the DTaP. I waited until he was almost 6 to get it as we held ds out from kindergarten for a year. So he hadn't had a shot in almost 3 years.

We separated out the MMR into three shots for my dd - we weren't aware of ds' autism when he got his MMR booster at age 3. While we didn't see a regression then, we did see one after his flu shot at age 3 1/3.  Now we are VERY careful with shots and I agonized over whether or not to get him the DTaP. We finally went ahead and did it though.

snoopy,  I believe for ages 4-6 there is a series of boosters including mmr.

There are 4 of them.  Jack is not yet 5 and is in preK, however, since he goes to the big kid school for a couple hours each T & Th for gifted class, they want him to have the same shots as the kindergartener.

Of course I was an adult when we did them, but I once got a last minute assignment to Indonesia offered to me, and I got SEVEN shots in one day!  Felt absolutely awesone, healthwise...my arms were just sore.

I'm tossing this around,  should we do it or not.  I've heard there is a blood test that can be done to see if he has immunity to mmr from past shot. if he does this is passable  for admittance to school with a letter from doctor stating this.  He is due to have this next month.  what to do?  has anyone here declined this shot and had the blood test done???
