Yesterday morning I had to go to school and take an exam as part of my nursing application. I had soo much on my mind that I parked in an area that has street cleaning on the 1st Tues of the month. I thought nothing of it because other cars were parked there too. When I returned to the car to find it gone, I panicked because I had 45 minutes to get to Q's school to pick him up. Luckily I myy school is one of the stops on the subway, so I was able to get on ride the train and get off about a mile down the street from Quinn's school. I made it just in time.
The next challenge would be telling Quinn what happenend and why we had to walk home. He didn't mind the walking home part, but was anxious about our car being gone. He asked "Do we have to get a new one? I wish...lol..."Where is it?" "How will we get there?" "Who will take us?" "How will I get to school tomorrow?" "How will you get to work?" At this point I was still stressing over, but kept saying don't worry everything will be ok and that on the bright side of things, I wasn't late getting to his school on time, I did good on my test and he had an awesome day. I told him getting the car towed was just an inconvenience. A few years ago he would have had a mletdown.
Then we got home I made my calls and found out where it was, how much and then my bro took me to pick it up.
I took the 2.5 hour test, which went better than I thought it would. I also did better than I imagined.
The computer calculates the scores right away and they gave me a print out. I left there very happy.
Congrats on the test and munchkin being so calm and cool about it. He's asking the same questions you would've - that's awesome!
yay! that stinks about your car but you and Quinn sound like you were superstars! it's so nerve wracking when they give you the results right away, I'm glad it went well!
Thank for all your responses and Congrats on my test!
I am soo proud of him
...he did say that he wanted to find the person that took our car.....lol
WOW--something like that could really go either way--I, too, would be all
braced and ready for a meltdown.
But how cool. He just took it in stride, like he's been cool his whole life!
Oh yeah, congrats on the test! My classes start again tmw.
Congrats on the test. Glad to hear your little one was ok with the change, you never can tell!Hope you get car back okay!

That's awesome - congrats on the test and as to how well your ds did in coping with the "inconvenience"! What field of nursing did you do before? I'm not sure what field I want yet.
....I wish I did this years ago. What field of nursing do you work in?
