You can give your child the best educational experiences available, and hope he grows up to be a happy person, feeling no great resentment or guilt about any of his abilities and disabilities. That is the most you can do for any of your children, including those who are autistic.

The story of my autistic son can be read at

i will say a heartfelt amen to that...I adopted a child...before savannah was born... and we were told that she would have problems because of what happened in utro... well we brought her home..and loved her...and she now reads at about a 6th grade level at 7...and has no problems what so ever...I then get blessed with a bio child after 9 yrs and...she turns out to be the one with issues...I truly believe that the best medicine i can give them is to love them unconditionally...and be there for them all the time.
