Hi all. We are thinking about possibly going to visit my family for Christmas this year and would have to take a couple hour plane flight to get there.. My son has never been on a plane before and I have no idea how he would react. I hope that he would cry the whole time but its hard to tell. He loves riding in the car and on the bus but a plane is a little different. lol Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep your kids busy and happy on a plane flight? I really appreciate any suggestions on this. Thanks!!

At age 3 the portable DVD player with favorite videos was the key item for us.  However, make sure you try this before you go to make sure he can tolerate the headphones.  You might have to try different styles.

I also used to buy a bunch of small items (thomas trains, matchbox cars, etc.) and if I saw him getting antsy I'd pull a new present out of the magical mommy bag and that would keep him interested for a bit.  I also bought all kinds of cool candy (gummys, sours, etc.) to pull out as well.

Also, make sure you get him a window seat!

Thanks!
