melatonin | Autism PDD

Hi All! I have  a four year old with autism who has had problems going to sleep recently. This started after a move to a new city. Before, we put him to bed awake with a closet light on and now he wants all the lights on and me to lay down with him which I have been doing. I was wondering if anyone had tried melatonin to help with getting their child to sleep. Also, did you start with 2.5 at bedtime and go from there? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, melatonin has been a great thing for us.  There has been quite a bit of discussion about it here, you can do a search to read the posts.  But basically b/f melatonin my daughter was up every night 3-4 times.  Now she sleeps pretty much every night.  We actually use 3mg, but she is 9-older than your child.
