Hi Christina,

Welcome to the boards.  And you're right....take a deep breath.  You found the right place in my opinion.  In the past 2 years I have learned many valuable lessons from the mothers, fathers, caregivers, grandmothers, and people with autism.  We have a very wide and ecclectic bunch here and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

I am joining in here of you don't mind. My 4yo son Grant was recently diagnosed with Autism in May. I also have an 8yo son with down syndrome, a 22 month old son and a 4 month old daughter.

I look forward to gettign to knwo everyonme and hopefully getting soem positive advice. Our biggest struggle right no are hsi behaviors. He is extremely hyper and easily set off. he certainly keeps me on my toes.

He attends a full time theraputic preschool and receives his therapies there. we are also in the process of getting in home support.

It has been a busy year not to mention my DH and I are getting divorced phew*** I hope things settle down soon.

Sorry you are struggling in your marriage. It aint easy, is it?

Glad you are here.

Thanks- sorry for the typos, I am holding my 4 month old and she is grabbing at everything! Quick question...I have a son with PDD-NOS...did you get all of your kiddos their 18 mo vaccines? I have a 1 yr old and am debating whether or not to get her the shot?

Hi and welcome! Feel free to vent, you sound like there is a lot on your plate right now!

noeleon79- I am separating the MMR and going slower than the usual schedule. Also, I don't go in for a vacccination if there is a hint of my child being sick. They say no fever for 24 hours is fine, but you have to do what you think is best. Remember they only need these shots before kindergarden-not the age of 2.

Hi,  welcome ,  sounds like you really have your hands full,  this is a great place for ideas suggestions support whatever!!

btw,  You son reminds me alot of my son michael.  same hair color skin tone.  Very cute   Welcome to the boards.  It sounds like you have had a heck of a year.  Hope you can get some answers and things start looking up.   Welcome. Your son is adorable. Great photo!

Things will settle down someday--last year, my son got dx'd, I divorced my
husband, and I went back to school full time. So, yes, I know about those
crazy years! (and I only have one child )

You have found the right place for support! So many kind folks who have
come by their wisdom through experience.

Glad to have you on board. Hello, Glad you joined, You certainly do have your hands full. Sounds like you will fit right in!

Thanks for the generous Welcome!

It is so nice to find a place where I feel people can relate. I am looking forward to posting more.
