I am wondering whether to begin this very large undertaking of starting the GCFC diet.
Firstly, he is 6,
verbal/not quite conversational
Almost potty trained
Behaviour for the most part is under control/tolerable
Not on any medication
Has limited himself to meat, bread, cheese, milk and fruit
Hasn't really had a firm poo, mostly med. color and soft (gross sorry)
Not as stimmy as used to be
sleeps fine
reads logos and flyers
while I am a big supporter of many bio-med type therapies
if your child is this high functioning, in all honesty, I would be very reluctant to rock the boat with something that is really going to impact a lot of things, eg His potty training, his eating, your grocery bill etc

What could I expect to see that might be different if I started this very involved diet.
What experiences could you share.
Sarah had major constipation and it make hers normal..her awareness and reaction was the biggest improvement we notice within 2 weeks. She was easy to do diet because her food choice were so limited and I found replacements very easy. You should notice more normal stools at the very least:) Might want to get his yeast checked..this can make stools loose and yucky:P
Good luck!
What is involved with getting his yeast checked? Mine is always just on the edge, never quite a flair up but just enough to notice. And what homeopathic teatments could I use for him - that he won't notice? AND , ... how do I keep it in check? I guess reducing sugary drinks like full strength juice
