This site was recommended in The Mislabeled Child, a book about learning and language disabilities that I'll be reviewing on Friday. Although, as the site's name suggests, it is primarily intended for students learning English as a second language, it also provides good practice for kids who have trouble with listening, language processing or comprehension.
Listeners can pick from a variety of conversations, sorted as easy, medium or difficult. The lesson consists, first, of listening to a conversation and answering multiple-choice questions. Then, the student listens again while following along with the script. Finally, the student listens to the conversation and fills in words on a test. There are also before and after activities, and boxes explaining figures of speech.
