mercury testing | Autism PDD

We did heavy metal testing with a urine porphyrin test.  Blood testing and hair testing do not give accurate results as a blood test will only show what is floating around in the blood currently and not what your child has been exposed to in the past and has already possibly settled in their tissue...same goes for hair, if your child has had a haircut, then evidence of past exposure has been cut out.  You can get a test done at Great Plains Labratory.  You can google them, and then order a Urinary Porphyrin Kit.  You follow the instructions and then send in your childs urine along with your payment and they will send you the results.  If you need help interpreting the results they can help you with that also, and then from there you can go to a DAN doc with your results if you need to.have you ever had your child tested to see how much mercury is in their body? if so how did you?
